Your QJ Motor backed by law and factory.
Carrera Motos S.A.S. offers QJ Motor official warranty in Colombia in accordance with the Consumer Statute (Law 1480/2011) and the importer's published terms.
Consumer Statute + importer terms.
Minimum legal warranty
Every motorcycle imported and sold in Colombia carries a legally binding warranty under Law 1480/2011 (Consumer Statute). It covers manufacturing defects under the vehicle's normal use.
QJ Motor manufacturer warranty
On top of the legal framework, we offer the manufacturer's terms: 2 years or 30,000 km for models 250 cc or larger; 1 year or 20,000 km for models under 250 cc (whichever comes first).
Component-by-component detail
Specific components (suspension, tires, cables) carry their own terms. The full detail is delivered printed with the motorcycle at the time of registration.
General coverage of the official warranty.
QJ Motor sets two general terms based on model displacement: for motorcycles 250 cc or larger, warranty of 2 years or 30,000 km (whichever comes first); for motorcycles under 250 cc, 1 year or 20,000 km (whichever comes first). Specific components (suspension, tires, cables) have their own terms detailed in the manufacturer's documentation delivered with your motorcycle.
General exclusions under the legal and technical framework.
Consumables and wear from normal use
Consumable components listed by the manufacturer (air filter, spark plugs, drive belt, brake pads and discs, clutch friction discs, tires, fluids —engine oil, brake fluid, hydraulic oil, coolant—, fuses, light bulbs, full-vehicle plastic parts) are NOT covered by warranty. Their replacement is part of the scheduled maintenance plan.
Misuse, modifications and force majeure
Not covered: accidents, overloading, unauthorized racing use, unapproved electrical or mechanical modifications, force majeure damage (earthquake, hurricane, fire), or damage from oils or parts not specified by QJ Motor.
Repairs outside the authorized network
Performing repairs, disassembly or adjustments outside the Carrera Motos authorized network during the warranty period may void coverage on the components serviced.
Maintenance outside the manufacturer plan
Failure to follow the scheduled maintenance plan delivered by the manufacturer with your motorcycle may void the warranty on affected components. The exact plan (initial check-up and mileage-based inspections) is printed in the motorcycle's documentation and confirmed at the time of delivery.
QJ Motor warranty: what people ask us most.
Does QJ Motor have an official warranty in Colombia?
Yes. Carrera Motos S.A.S., exclusive importer of QJ Motor in Colombia, offers official warranty in accordance with Colombia's Consumer Statute (Law 1480/2011) and the manufacturer's terms. The general terms are 2 years or 30,000 km for models of 250 cc or larger, and 1 year or 20,000 km for models under 250 cc (whichever comes first). The component-level detail is delivered printed with the motorcycle at the time of registration.
What does the QJ Motor official warranty cover?
It covers manufacturing defects in the engine, transmission, electrical systems and structural components under normal vehicle use. Original QJ Motor parts installed during the warranty maintain the manufacturer backing. OEM components (Brembo, Marzocchi, KYB, Bosch) carry their own brand warranty.
What does the warranty NOT cover?
It does not cover wear from normal use (pads, tires, chain, spark plugs, fluids), accident damage, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow the scheduled maintenance plan.
Where is warranty service provided?
In the Carrera Motos authorized service network being built for 2026 starting in Bogotá (Av. Primera de Mayo, opening soon). Maintenance performed in unauthorized workshops may affect coverage.
What happens if I buy generic parts?
Non-original parts may void the warranty on affected components. Carrera Motos directly imports QJ Motor parts plus OEM components (Brembo, Marzocchi, KYB, Bosch) precisely to avoid this risk.
How do I claim warranty service?
Email gerenciaposventa@carrera.com.co with: proof of purchase, chassis number, problem description and photos if applicable. The post-sales team will guide you on the next step (in-store technical review or authorized appointment).
What happens if my motorcycle has a batch defect?
When QJ Motor confirms a batch defect or hidden manufacturing defect, the manufacturer may extend coverage at its discretion —even on parts normally excluded such as consumables— within the timeframes of the official document delivered with your motorcycle. If you suspect a systemic defect, report it to gerenciaposventa@carrera.com.co as soon as possible with invoice, chassis number and evidence.
Consult full T&C in store or with legal team.
The general terms by displacement and component-by-component coverage are delivered printed with the motorcycle at the time of registration, along with the manufacturer's scheduled maintenance plan. For legal questions about specific scope, email juridica@carrera.com.co.
