Frequently asked questions about QJ Motor Colombia
The most common questions about QJ Motor in Colombia: brand, launch, after-sales, comparisons and test ride. Answers verifiable against official sources.
What is QJ Motor and how does it arrive in Colombia?
QJ Motor is the global motorcycle brand of Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co. (founded 1985, Wenling, China). Part of Geely Technology Group since 2016 — the same conglomerate as Volvo, Polestar and Lotus. Exports to over 130 countries.
Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co. manufactures all QJ Motor bikes at its Wenling plants. The QJMotor brand (international denomination) debuted at EICMA 2022. Integrated industrial operation with own manufacturing, not contracted to third parties.
QJ Motor is the owner of Benelli since 2005, but they remain distinct brands. QJ Motor maintains the Benelli line with its own Italian (Pesaro) identity, but engines and many components come from the QJ Motor factory in Wenling. In Colombia, Benelli is imported by Auteco Mobility — Carrera Motos is NOT affiliated with Auteco.
The quality of premium Chinese motorcycles has improved significantly. QJ Motor competes in the Moto2 World Championship as title sponsor (QJMOTOR-Frinsa MSI team), participates in WSBK and exhibited at EICMA 2022. Components include Brembo (brakes), Marzocchi (suspension), KYB (suspension), Bosch (electronics). The difference vs. basic Chinese brands is the investment in international OEM components and Geely Group backing.

The online pre-order reservation opens on June 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (noon, Colombia time). From that date you can reserve your bike directly at qjmotorcolombia.com without leaving home.
From the site: you choose the model, select the pickup location, complete your details and pay the deposit. Once your reservation is confirmed, a QJ Motor advisor contacts you to coordinate the next steps.
The reservation is a COP 500,000 deposit per bike. It is not the full payment: it gives you priority in unit assignment based on confirmation order and actual availability, at the pickup location you chose, and is applied toward the final price of the bike.
Yes. You have the right of withdrawal during the 5 business days following your reservation confirmation (Law 1480/2011, art. 47), and we refund everything you paid within a maximum of 30 calendar days, at no cost. Request it through the site’s support channels or by email at pqrs.motos@carrera.com.co indicating your document number.
The color you choose when reserving is referential and subject to factory availability. When the inventory arrives we will inform you of the available colors and you can decide whether to proceed with your reservation. We do not commit to the selected color.
Your reservation is registered and a QJ Motor advisor contacts you via the email and phone you provided, within business hours, to complete the process: documentation, balance payment method and bike delivery.

QJ Motor vs other brands
Both are premium Chinese brands with active motorsport. CFMoto has longer Latin American distribution history; QJ Motor is now in Colombia with Geely backing (Volvo/Polestar/Lotus) and Benelli as subsidiary. Each lineup has specific strengths — the best choice depends on use case and budget. Detailed comparisons published soon.
Voge is imported in Colombia by AKT (Loncin as tech matrix). QJ Motor is exclusively imported by Carrera Motos S.A.S. with Geely as tech matrix. Both are premium Chinese; the key difference is the importer backing (service network, parts, warranty) and the industrial matrix. Technical comparisons with dyno data published soon.
Try and book
The SRT 800 RX is a twin-cylinder adventure-trail with Marzocchi USD suspension, Brembo brakes and Bosch fuel injection. The QJ Motor lineup in Colombia is 100% FI (not carbureted) — that eliminates the "sputter" typical of carbureted Chinese bikes at Andean altitude (Bogotá 2,600 m.a.s.l., La Línea, Páramo de Letras). Technical ride reports on real routes published soon.
We will soon enable the formal QJ Motor test ride scheduling. Official information on how to book your ride is published here as soon as it opens. In the meantime, let us know your interest by emailing marketing@carrera.com.co and we'll notify you directly when scheduling becomes available.
